With Sony’s PlayStation 4 reveal conference a short while ago, the rough date of ‘Holiday 2013′ was given as the console’s launch period. Unfortunately, it’s becoming increasingly probable that we won’t see the console this year.
SCEE’s UK managing director, Fergal Gara, has stated in an interview that although the console will launch this year, it’s currently unclear what regions that will be. With Sony themselves seemingly not sure when and where the console will be released this year, the likelihood in my opinion is that Japan is going to catch the console at the tail end of the year, with America possibly getting it just before Christmas or early in 2014 along with Europe.
We rarely see a console the same year it was announced I suppose, but it’s a shame considering the promising Holiday 2013 tag.
